I would do it like this Matthews + Maclin for Morris. Keep Wright and the pick. If you can dump Matthews for Morris, Maclin is an acceptable loss IMO. You could start with Wright in there is you wanted and then offer up Maclin if he comes back.

Matthews and Maclin for Morris is more than fair. If he doesn't like that, he is asking too much for Alf and you should walk away. Not worth it IMO.

If you were completely sold on Morris, I would say take it since the pick downgrade wouldn't hold me up from acquiring a player I really believed in. Since you are not sold on him, I understand you not wanting to pull the trigger. I agree with Burgandy that Mathews and Maclin or Wright would be my offer in your situation, although I can see where that might not be very appealing to the Morris owner.

I'd take the deal. Maclin isn't a sticking point for me and the downgrade of eight picks may end being a wash in this years draft class. I'd be doing whatever it takes to upgrade on Mathews.

Since I´m not a fan of either palyer you´re giving up(much less of Matthews than Maclin, still, also never been a fan of JM), I´d certainly accept that one. I really like Morris and think he´s a borderline 1st rd pick in startups while I wouldn´t touch the other guys until .. well.. quiet a few rounds later! I think you´re getting a good deal here!

I can obviously understand why people are not high on Maclin since he has never consistently produced like he was expected to coming out, but I have a sneaky feeling he is going to have a Crabtree-type breakout this coming season. Just a gut feeling mixed with a little .

Yeah this isn't the deal you are looking for. If he's not willing to do it without the pick (still an overpay) then it's not a deal you should be making.

While I am not a huge fan of Ryan Mathews, he was much more lauded than Morris and is only a year away from his own 1500+ yard season and he can actually catch the football. Mathews/1.9 is a fair offer. You're just giving away Maclin for no reason at all.

Take Maclin out of the trade and I like it better. Take out the draft picks and I like it better. Keep both in and I wouldn't do it. But I am higher on Mathews than others.
